About Me

An keen fisherman.

Rheumatoid Arthritis limits what I can physically achieve.

Keen to find a way to enjoy my favourite pastime despite living with chronic pain - quite simply, I refuse to let the pain prevent me from fishing.

I try to work light so a small shoulder bag does for the gear I need, restocked to suit each trip planned.

I am currently land based, so I try to park as close to my destination as possible.

A bait bucket, a camp chair and a couple of rods is about all the other gear I can handle, so I plan ahead and try to be frugal with my gear.

A long walk carrying too much does little for my pain levels, with my shoulders causing all kinds of grief, and I hate arriving at a destination feeling worse for wear.

While a boat would be nice, it is not on my list of priorities just yet, although it would make life much easier.
(Oh to load the boat in the garage at home, drop it in the river and simply fish away!)
Maybe one day.

I love the scenery Mother Nature provides, almost as much as the catch.

Life is good.
